the story behind simply alice

I started on this journey five years ago as a lockdown hobby (how so many of our creative stories began). fascinated by the ways that scent is so deeply tied to memory, I began with the hope to bring memories of joy, adventure, and comfort into my home. 

from the beginning I knew I wanted to create something that I could feel good about using in my home, which left me with some big priorities to start off with:

• sourcing all of my materials from other Canadian businesses
• creating a product that is clean burning and environmentally conscious 
• only using products that are cruelty-free
  

inspired by nostalgia, beautiful places, beloved books, and life's quiet moments, my goal is to create products that feel both personal and timeless. whether you're lighting a candle to unwind, celebrate, or simply add warmth to your space, I'm so glad you're here and grateful to be a small part of your story.

I'm allyssa, the maker behind simply alice candle co.  when I'm not pouring candles, you'll likely find me with a good book in hand, exploring local shops, dreaming up new scent ideas, or finding inspiration in the places and stories that surround me. I believe the most memorable things are often the simplest, and I am so thankful to get to share my craft with you.
